“I’ve been working with the guys at SO for two years now and can honestly say they have helped me change my life. I’ve always gone to the gym but lacked the discipline to stay the course and always ended up quitting after a few months. It’s been two years of hard work but full of fun and variation in what we do. I’ve gone from not being able to hold my weight to being able to do unassisted pull ups and dips.
My body shape has changed and whilst there is still improvements to be made, I’ve got the confidence and proof that we can do it together with focus.
Andy, Kate and Mark are all exceptional professionals in their own way and all bring something different to the challenge. We have a close knit group of likeminded friends at the gym from all backgrounds and all ages and sizes and there is definitely no judgement, just a very healthy and encouraging competition between us all. And for those that don’t want to be competitive, there is no pressure to join in with the programs.
These sessions really set me up for my days and weeks and I can’t function without them now.

I've been training with SO Fitness for a long time now, which in itself speaks volumes. They helped me to continue working out throughout Covid (training outside in -3° tested us all, but the team were imaginative in a less than ideal situation!)
The team are all encouraging and supportive and tailor your training to achieve your goals and seem to take pride in your achievements. In fact, everyone at the gym, client or trainer, support each other and always have a friendly word or 3 to share. I am probably stronger now than I was 30 years ago, which is thanks to them and they have also helped me mentally more than they could ever know.
All in all, SO Fitness is a great place to train, with great people, great facilities and great attitude.

My name is Danielle and I’ve been a client of Andy, Kate and the Strong Origin Fitness team for many years now.
I’ve always tried to invest into my health and fitness and exercise in general has been something which has supported me in many aspects of my life.
In the past my routine mostly consisted of independent gym work. Despite having an awareness of exercises and machines, I lost the motivation and consistency I needed to see progress.
Since joining Strong Origin Fitness and working with the team I am now able to get daily workouts done which fit in around my work, as well as still offering me the variety without having to think or plan in advance what to do.
Strong Origin Fitness offers me the choice to workout before or after work and by the end of the week I feel like I’ve targeted cardio, strength and mobility. The classes are fun, challenging, but also personalised so that you can be supported no matter your fitness levels.
I’ve enjoyed getting to know the trainers and the clients of the gym and it is nice to see familiar faces that you can build up new connections with. (Including PT Pooch Winnie who’s been the best pet therapy there is!) 🐾
Strong Origin fitness has been more than just a workout space for me, it’s been a safe place to escape, with trainers (friends) who support you in more ways than just fitness. It is more than somewhere to burn calories, get stronger or look better in the mirror.
Over my time here I’ve completed the London Marathon, personal challenges such as the 75 hard challenge and my first ever HYROX event. The team are always there to help, advise and cheer you on.
Although exercise has always been part of my routine, my routine is now easier, more sociable and I am seeing more results than I had before.

Strong Origin started with me being heavily overweight, smoking, eating too much and reliant on medication.
The team have supported, encouraged and pushed me through to where I am today - 25Kg lighter, eating sensibly & healthily, a non-smoker and no longer reliant on doctors’ pills.

I have been training with Strong Origin Fitness
for 4 years now and cannot recommend the team there more highly.I have worked with other PTs for many years all of whom struggled to adapt their programmes to meet my needs.
I have issues with prolapsed discs in my lower back and neck along with issues with my shoulders that i required surgery on.
Before joining I was spending several days a quarter on my back with slipped discs and was unable to partake in much active exercise, even walking around a shopping centre would cause discomfort.
However the programmes Kate, Andy and other at SO have created, have been evolved and developed over my time with them which has been transformational.
My goal when joining was to be able to be active without pain and with their encouragement I have not only exceeded these goals but achieved new goals like completing Tough Mudders, Mountain climbs like Pen-Y Fan with confidence. Weight loss of over 2 stone was not a stated aim but welcomed!
It’s a great atmosphere in the gym, the staff and clients are always friendly, talkative
(without disrupting the purpose of being there), there are a wide range of ages, shapes sizes and abilities, you never feel uncomfortable.
Because it’s a PT only gym you never have to wait for equipment, the set up is amazing and you always have someone with you to give you the push when you need it
(and in my case without pushing to hard and leading to injuries).

“I started training at Strong Origin about 18 months ago. I wanted to start incorporating weights into my weekly fitness routine and was too intimidated to go to other larger gyms to take part in their classes. I had seen Strong Origin’s posts on social media so got in touch and decided to sign up for my first class. I started off going once a week but now it’s more like 4 to 5 times as it is the most welcoming atmosphere with a great range of classes and knowledgeable trainers who get to know you and can push you to work and train harder, but within your limits! I’m glad I made that first booking - I can’t imagine going anywhere else! “
